Stay firm while the culture shifts by keeping Jesus as the center of your life.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. And back in the Middle Ages, the Cathedral used to be the center of everyday life. Church bells marked the passing of hours; people celebrated Pentecost, not the opening of baseball season. Everything about life back then reminded people of the importance of God and how central he was in their lives. But life in our society is so different now. We live in the postmodern era where the church is no longer recognized as the center of our community. People don't even believe in God, much less that he is involved in every bit of their lives. Yes, times have changed, but God has not. Hebrews 13 says, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forevermore.” So, how can you stay firm while our culture shifts? By keeping Jesus at the center of yourlife. And remaining rooted in prayer and his Word, can be a first step in changing the culture around you.
