Offer up to God the ordinary things you lean on, and he will perform miracles through them. They will become a symbol of God doing miracles in your life.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada with a little lesson about the Red Sea. When God divided the Red Sea, he said to Moses, "Raise your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea." But later, In Exodus 17, Moses says, "Tomorrow I will stand on top of the hill with the staff of God in my hands." Do you catch the difference in those verses? No longer was it the staff of Moses – an ordinary stick of wood; no, now it was the powerful staff of God used to perform miracles. And this, my friend, should say something to you, no matter what your limitations. For when you offer to God the things you lean on, whether a wheelchair, a walker, cane or a staff, God will take it. It’ll be his. And he will perform bonafide miracles through that ordinary thing. No longer will it be a symbol of dependence; that hearing aid, that crutch or wheelchair will be a symbol of God and his miracles in your life.
