Whatever the struggle you’re facing today, be comforted knowing that Jesus is on his way back.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada and the other day I was talking to my friend Jane who is approaching the age of 75. Jane walks with a cane and lives alone. The other night, we were on the phone, and I commented that she sounded rather subdued. That’s when Jane confessed, “Well, I guess I am feeling a little down,” whereupon I immediately replied, “Jane, the Lord himself shall come down from heaven with a loud command and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so, we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage each other with these words.” Jane immediately said, “Thank you for that.” And friend, whatever the struggle you are facing today, be comforted with those same words from 1 Thessalonians 4. After all, the Lord Jesus is on his way back.
