If you ever feel paralyzed by your lack of gifts or limitations, remember that you belong to Christ’s body. Serve him today because he values you as an important part of Christ.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada and as a quadriplegic, I know something about how bodies work and don’t work! It’s why I like 1 Corinthians 12. It says there, “A foot [cannot] say, ‘Because I am not a hand I do not belong to the body,’… no, God has arranged the parts of the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be.” You know friend, although my legs are paralyzed, I still value them as part of my body. Sure, I don’t feel them, but they are still an important part of me. I need my legs for balance in my wheelchair. And what is true for a physical body, is true for the body of Christ. You may feel paralyzed by your lack of gifts, talents, or your limitations – you may feel like you don’t have an important place in your church. But hey, God values you as part of the body of Christ. Remember, you belong to his body. So, serve him today – for you are an important part of Jesus Christ.
