God is relentless when it comes to bringing back that lost loved one.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. And the other day I was reading the story in the gospel of Matthew about the 99 sheep and the shepherd who went off to look for that one sheep who had went astray. Now if you ask me, that story conveys a terrible lesson on successful shepherding. I mean, come on, you’re actually going to leave 99 sheep on their own to go traipsing off, looking for one? Well, the Good Shepherd did, proving that the story has less to do with the 99, and more to do with that one sheep. Plus, it shows how earnest, how insistent, how adamant and unrelenting Jesus, our Shepherd, is when it comes to looking for that one lost soul gone astray. So, friend, if you are praying for a lost son, or a lost spouse, or a dear friend who has thrown in the towel spiritually, take encouragement from the heart of the Good Shepherd. He’s relentless when it comes to bringing back that lost loved one.
