Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. And I have a disabled friend named Becky who is going through incredible hardship right now. She had to sleep in her wheelchair one night because her attendant didn’t show up to put her into bed. The next night, her drainage bag broke and her mattress became soaked. And then her wheelchair broke down. For her, it’s one awful thing after the next. But for what purpose? Well, Becky believes that her bright outlook, plusher confidence in Christ is having an impact on others, helping them see the sustaining grace of God in Becky’s life. She is such a wonderful example of 2 Timothy 2:10 where it says, “… I endure everything for the sake of the elect, that they too may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus, with eternal glory.” Friend, if you’re experiencing one awful thing after the next, remember 2 Timothy 2. Remember that others are watching and learning.
