Through good times and bad, God’s worth should still be perfectly displayed mightily through you.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. My friend Linda worships God with sheer abandon! Yes, she may be hampered by rheumatoid arthritis, and she has a hard time lifting her arms above her wheelchair. But you cannot miss the unbridled passion in her worship. Linda shows that faith-filled suffering is essential when it comes to intense, authentic worship. John Piper once said, “When we are most satisfied with God in suffering, He will be most glorified in us in worship.” And that’s what you see in Linda. Her afflictions have become the perfect display of the worth of God in her life. Scripture says, “Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you.” Linda believes that Jesus’s love is better than a life filled with the pain, and it shows in her unrestrained praise. May Linda serve as our example today. Through good times and hard, may we declare God’s worth in the same way.
