Episode Transcription

Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada and I remember the day when I met Abumajah, an elderly disabled woman in Africa. She had been lying in bed for 14 years, and if she wasn’t lying in bed, with her hands she was dragging her body across dirt floors. It’s why when our Wheels for the World physical therapist fit Abumajah to her wheelchair, all this dear woman could say to me was “Thank you, thank you, I am happy and full of thanking, thank you.” Abumajah may have been thankful for her wheelchair, but when she heard about Jesus and was given a Bible in her own language she was overflowing with thanksgiving. Look, friend, if Abumajah can find things for which to give thanks to God in her bruising, crushing circumstances, we all can – we all must – be thankful. So take a moment today to give thanks to God for all your blessings. And thank you for visiting our Wheels for the World page at joniradio.org.
