The more you lean on God in your weakness, the more his grace will flood your life with joy and courage.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. I wish I could adequately describe what it’s like when I am aware of the overwhelming presence and power of God’s grace in my life. It is like “living above” my wheelchair in a stratum of heart-splitting joy, as well as God-breathed courage to tackle whatever lies ahead! Frankly, I believe that the more you are aware of God’s grace, the more joy and courage you will have. This then begs the question: when are we most aware of God’s grace? Well, it’s only when we are needy, rather than self-sufficient. It’s when we feel spiritually impoverished, rather than satisfied with our spiritual status quo. Sure, God has given you strengths, and he will use them. But if you are longing to live in the celestial strata of God’s joy and courage, then thank him when you feel needy and weak. It’s your passport into a higher, fresher realm of gladness and strength in the Lord!
