From the amazing depths of the ocean to the creatures you pass by every day, God’s creation is everywhere—and it’s reason enough to stop and praise Him.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. My friend, Dave Guth, is a housing contractor by trade, but on weekends, he loves to go scuba diving off the coast of California. Dave always takes his underwater camera and on a recent dive, he snapped a photo of the most beautiful tube anemone. [If you’ve never seen one, you really must look it up]. Their tentacles are long and lacy, of fluorescent hues like red and blue. Well, when I saw this lovely creature, I thought, how amazing of God to create such an animal and place him way, way down deep in the sea where no one notices. But Dave noticed, and I guess that makes him one of God's privileged ones. Genesis says, “God created great sea creatures and every living thing that scurries and swarms in the water.” So, the next time you see a beautiful animal—whether crawling on the land or deep down in the sea—it’s good enough reason to praise God for his creation!
