If there’s a restaurant you frequently visit, pray for and befriend your server; build a relationship, and then – share your faith.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. And my friend Jennifer loves witnessing for Jesus, especially to waitresses. Before Jennifer and her friends go to a restaurant, they always pray for their server. At lunch, they strike up a friendly chat with their waitress. And they always, always give a generous tip. After so many luncheons, these women become friends with their regular server and it’s just a natural thing to invite her to church. They’ve been witnessing this way for years [and get this], after visiting scores of restaurants they have seen fifteen women come to Christ. So, listen to those words of Jesus in Acts 1: “… And you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all of Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” And oh, yes, that includes restaurants! So, friend, if there’s a restaurant you frequently visit, pray for and befriend your server; build a relationship, and then – share your faith.
