Hear Joni talk about a quadriplegic man’s plight in China. To help serve families like his, check out joniradio.org for more information.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. For people with disabilities in countries like China, sometimes their only caretaker is a relative. Take Liu, a quadriplegic man with poor eyesight and bad health. His dear 70-year-old mother is his only caregiver. And although Liu’s mother cares for him with much love and sacrifice, Liu can’t help but wonder, “Who will take care of me when my mother passes away?” Oh, friend, this man’s desperate situation poignantly describes the plight of most people with disabilities living in less-developed parts of the world. So please pray for Liu and the thousands like him. For when you pray and give and care, you are [as Proverbs 14 says] honoring the Lord. And in return, the Lord will bless you, just like he blesses Liu’s mother with strength and hope in Jesus. Does Liu’s story touch your heart? Then help us serve families like his; learn more at joniradio.org.
