Be bold for the Gospel through your problems today and pray like Paul.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. And I don’t know about you, but I love reading Paul’s letters to the churches. I mean, picture it: Paul in a prison cell; shackles cutting into his ankles. He has got this one chance to write his friends in Ephesus and with all his physical hardships, in the sixth chapter of that letter, he says: “Pray for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.” Oh friend, if only we would pray like Paul; but instead, we ask for instant relief from our uncomfortable situation. And that may not be bad, it just may not be God’s top priority for you. The priority in your prayer might be, “Lord, how can I bebold for the Gospel through all my problems today?” So, join me in praying that way. And watch the miracles happen.
