Pray for leaders that will take a stand against biblically immoral and unethical values. Your prayers will turn the world in the right direction.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. And back in 2008, when Luxembourg’s Parliament voted on a bill to legalize euthanasia for the terminally ill and severely depressed people in their country, the head of state—Grand Duke Henri—refused to sign the bill into law. Now you can imagine what a constitutional crisis this caused. The result was that Luxembourg Parliament unanimously voted to remove from power the Grand Duke by changing their constitution. He lost his job. Talk about courage! Friend, we need more leaders like Grand Duke Henri—leaders who will take a stand against that which is biblically immoral and unethical. So, let’s pray for them according to 1 Timothy 2, offering up “supplications, prayers, intercessions…for… kings and all who are in high positions.” Because it’s your prayers that will turn our world to right living.
