Episode Transcription

Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. Psalm 90 tells us to “number our days so that we might apply our heart to God’s wisdom.” You know, over the years, my quadriplegia has really helped me do this – my wheelchair is always forcing me to take one day at a time and keep looking to the Lord for grace and help in most everything I do. Living like this sure makes each day precious. To many of us, though, have a hard time grasping just how precious our days are, and so, we feel no need to number them – but things we fail to account for, we waste. So how can you be a better steward of your days? Well, learn the lesson my wheelchair taught me – don’t resent your trials as intruders, but consider them as friends. A friend that forces you to slow down, number your days, and live more circumspectly. Believe me, it’ll make each day precious. And that is applying your heart to God’s wisdom.
