A Moment with Joni Eareckson Tada

Precious Minutes

Episode Summary

Each minute is precious, especially when you give it in service to others – make every moment count!

Episode Transcription

Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. Little Grace was born with Trisomy 18 – a genetic disorder that leads to physical malformation, mental delays, and other health problems. Half of these children do not survive beyond the first week of life, and only less than ten percent get to see their first birthday. But Grace’s mother writes, “[Joni, we’ve] been blessed with six birthdays and every day has been a gift. The road has not been easy, but God [gives] me strength to do what I need to do – sometimes if only minute by minute!” Second Peter 3 says, “With the Lord a day is like a thousand years.” Oh friend, with that formula, think of how precious each minute is – especially when you give it over in service to others, like Grace does with her child. Make every day you spend with your loved ones count like a thousand years, because, like Grace’s mom said, every moment is a gift.
