God delivered Gideon but think of the many times he’s rescued you.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. And whenever I read the Old Testament, I am amazed by the wonderful things God did in the past. I tell you, the Lord served up some pretty spectacular miracles back in ancient times. But what about today? Ever feel like the age in which we live is less spectacular? Some people think God is serving up less than his “best” since nowadays, he reveals himself through the pages of his Word rather than through a pillar of fire and smoke! Well, be encouraged friend, because these days? The Lord is doing something even better. Before, he was distant and remote: he resided in a temple. But now, he lives inside you. You and I are his temple! Sure, God gave Solomon wisdom, but hasn’t he done the same for you? And God delivered Gideon but think of the many times he’s rescued you. So, friend, open your eyes: Jesus and his Gospel are pretty spectacular.
