You may not be able to do it all, but if you fear the Lord, you will be praised. Hear Joni talk about the Proverbial wonder woman and be inspired to be more like her.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada and when I read Proverbs 31, sometimes it makes me feel a little discouraged. I mean, this lady in Proverbs 31 buys real estate, reads The Wall Street Journal, designs and sells clothes at a boutique, helps the homeless, feeds the poor, all the while taking care of her family. So, let’s be real, I mean, how many women—how many people do you know like that? Truth is, we all struggle to find balance; and it’s easy to beat yourself up for not being able to do it all. But you know what? There’s something to learn from this proverbial wonder-woman. Because Proverbs 31 says, “Charm is deceptive, beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.” Friend, how we look, what we can or cannot do – these things come and go. But when you fear the Lord, when you obey him and trust him? That makes you a gem before your loved ones—and before God.
