Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and you will succeed.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. One afternoon, my friend Doug walked into his garage and noticed his boys were hard at work hammering nails into plywood – they said they were making a lemonade stand. His boys wanted to push it to a construction site nearby where they could sell lemonade to the workers. It didn’t matter that the wheels wobbled, or that the sign was barely readable. Well, Doug was so proud, he went out, got good lumber, created a real, solid super-duper lemonade stand for his kids. And they were thrilled. You know, it’s a wonderful illustration of how you delight the heart of God when you take the initiative to plan something great in the kingdom. Proverbs 16 says, “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed. The Lord works out everything for his own ends...” That’s a wonderful promise to which we all, as we plan, can raise a glass of lemonade!
