Episode Transcription

Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada with a story about my little friend, Seth. You see, Seth is 9 years old and has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy—it’s a genetic disorder that causes progressive muscle weakness. And as you’d guess, this means Seth has to visit doctors often. But he’s such a brave boy, always keeping a smile on his face for the nurses. In fact, Seth likes to call himself a “professional” when it comes to having blood work and injections; instead of crying, he thinks of Isaiah 41: “For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, ‘Do not fear; I will help you.’” Hey, I love that! I think I will recite it. I think I’ll recite Isaiah 41 the next time I have to go get blood-work—and you can, too! And feel free to share this program with your friends and visit joniradio.org.
