Find a way to pass on the Good News of Christ today and refresh a weary soul.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada, and I remember when Ken and I were in Ghana visiting a small village church. There were so many people, and in that heat, I felt like I was melting away! But just then, from the crowd came a woman with some water. You could just see the pleasure on her face as she gave me a cool drink. And I felt so honored that here, this poor woman from the poorest part of Africa, she took pity on me; she reached out to me; she looked at me as though I were the least of the brethren. And it made me feel so privileged, so welcomed to share the Gospel in her country. Proverbs 25 says, “Like cold water to a weary soul, is good news from a distant land.” I tell you, that cold drink that day in Africa, yes, was a blessing to me; but the Good News of Jesus that woman received that day from us Americans, well, guess what? We both were refreshed. Friend, find a way to pass on the Living Water today and refresh a weary soul.
