Trust in God at all times and every time – he has everything in hand.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada, and as a quadriplegic who lives with chronic pain, bedtime can be foreboding. It takes a lot to get me situated in bed, especially with my external ventilator that I wear. But before my husband turns out the light, he’ll ask, “Are you all set?” And right then, I must decide. Am I going to relax and trust that God has it in hand, that he will see me through the night, or am I going to panic about the hours ahead? It’s easy to let fear have the upper hand, but Psalm 62 says, “Trust in the Lord at all times.” And that means all times, even at bedtime. So, when you’re facing a long night in pain, do not let your chronic condition grip you with fear. Decide: will I trust God, or not? Today, take hold of Psalm 62. Stick to pathways that lead to hope. Trust in God all times and every time.
