Recount the promises of God to yourself and then just watch Him renew your life!
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada and the other day while driving to work, I felt so demoralized. The day had hardly begun, and I was in such pain. But God brought the best scripture to mind: Psalm 119:50 where it says, “This is my comfort in my affliction, that your promises renew my life.” So, guess what? Right then, in the back of the van, I started to out loud recount as many of God’s promises I could recall. All the way to work I said out loud, “Lord, you are my ever-present help in trouble. You promise, your grace will sustain. You promised to be my high fortress and the rock in which I can hide. You promise never leave me or forsake me.” Oh, my goodness, by the time I arrived at Joni and Friends, my pain was not making me anxious. In fact, I had amazing peace. So, are you struggling today? Then hold on to Psalm 119, and recount the promises of God to yourself, and then just watch Him renew your life.
