God will give you all the resurrection power you need to choose your Savior rather than the pleasures of sin.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada, and because of Jesus, we have soul-shaking resurrection power. But just what is this power for? Well, Philippians tells us that the power of the resurrection enables us – it makes it possible for us – to say no to sin. Just as Christ’s resurrection proved his victory over sin, that same resurrection power enables you to have victory over your sin. That’s its primary purpose. So, if you feel trapped in a cycle of sin, Ephesians 1 says that Christ has given you – and I love these words – “incomparably great power for those who believe!” Oh, friend, please believe that God will give you all the power you need to gain victory over lust, bitterness, selfishness, and so much more! Today, ask for resurrection power to choose your Savior, rather than pleasures of sin.
