When you understand your own poverty, you are able to really appreciate every blessing.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. Cristina was a Romanian girl who, after a botched surgery, was left paralyzed and in need of a wheelchair. And when one of our Wheels for the World therapists sat this girl in her new wheelchair, with a smile Cristina said, “Oh, I cannot wait to go back to school.” Oh, my goodness, she wanted to go back to school – something most kids in America take for granted. But because of her poverty, Cristina was able to really appreciate any and every blessing – even schoolwork. Friend, James 2 says, “God has chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith.” Would you like to help those who are “poor in the eyes of the world?” You can, by joining a Wheels for the World team like that one in Romania. There are all kinds of ways you can help those who are poor become rich in faith. Learn more about it at joniandfriends.org.
