If you or a friend is struggling, there is a mountain top you can run to. There is a rock that is higher – Jesus, the rock of ages.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. Cynthia is a very “proud aunt” of her nephew, CJ, who has cerebral palsy. But Cynthia’s prayers really go out to her sister – a single parent who cares for the special needs of her son CJ. Sometimes this precious mother feels so overwhelmed caring for CJ all by herself – she just wants to run to a mountaintop and scream! Well friend, maybe you can relate. Perhaps you have a friend who’s struggling to keep up with the needs of their disabled family member and your heart breaks for them. Well, tell them there is a mountain top they can run to, a rock much higher than their troubles. And then, lead them to the rock that is higher – Jesus, the rock of ages. Grab on to their hand and help them ascend to hope in Christ through God’s word and acts of kindness. And hey – we’re here to help you do that as well. Visit joniandfriends.org for resources on how you can serve families like Cynthia and her nephew CJ.
