Episode Transcription

Hi, I’ Joni Eareckson Tada. Not long ago, Joyce, who collects used wheelchairs for our Wheels for the World program, drove to someone’s home to pick up a wheelchair. When she knocked on the door, she met Sandy, a single mother who had lost her disabled son the year before. Sandy had been keeping her son’s wheelchair all this time, but finally, she had decided to give that little wheelchair away. Joyce listened to Sandy’s story and, during the conversation, learned that she did not know Jesus. So, before Joyce left with that little wheelchair, she asked Sandy if she wanted to open her heart to Christ. And you know what? That single mother did just that. Sure, disabled people overseas open their hearts to Christ through Wheels for the World, but there are many more who do the same right here at home. So get involved with Wheels for the World at joniandfriends.org. And you just might meet someone like Sandy, who needs to know Jesus.
