Episode Summary

Troubles and setbacks may come your way this season, but just know that there's a hopeful, bountiful harvest on the horizon.

Episode Transcription

Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada and I love gardening [with of course some help from my friends].  A little sweating, spading, working weeding, digging, fertilizing, planting, watering and you’ve got yourself a great looking garden, right?  Someone once observed that, "Spring is winter defrosting," and he was right.  Each of us has experienced cold and bitter seasons of suffering or disappointment – but that is when the Holy Spirit does his best working and weeding in our lives. It's not pleasant, it may get muddy, but "Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it," it says in Hebrews 12.  Troubles and setbacks may come your way this season, but just knowing that there's a hopeful, bountiful harvest on the horizon?  It makes it more than worth it. So join me in welcoming God's Spirit to do a deeper planting in your life today.
