Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. And at Joni and Friends, we’re all about access – yes, even to people with visual impairments. For years, Lisa did a remarkable job of translating our newsletters into Braille every month, and then, sending them out to sixty friends of our ministry who are blind. Lisa’s was a quiet, unheralded, yet remarkable service in the kingdom of Christ. But unfortunately, she recently lost her battle against cancer and now she is home with the Lord. But I look forward to that day when I will stand next to her and hear the Savior say, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Oh, what a joy it will be to see her service richly rewarded – and to see “the eyes of the blind unopened” of all those she served so diligently. God has a tender spot for people who serve in a quiet and an unheralded way. Need some ideas on how you can serve that way among the disabled? Then visit us at joniandfriends.org.
