Heaven is going to be even more amazing than you can possibly imagine.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. Getting what we want is never as wonderful as we think, is it? The long-awaited vacation ends up being too short and too expensive. College assignments make high school homework feel like child’s play; and your knight in shining armor turns out to be an average husband with lots of dents and chinks in his character, right? What’s more, even when those things do satisfy—the satisfaction never lasts long enough, does it?! That’s exactly why God tells us in Colossians 3 to set our hearts on heaven. Friend, the pleasures of this life were never meant to fill us. The Word says the transitory things of this earth come and go, but it’s the eternal things that we hope for: happiness that endures, joy that never ends, health that never deteriorates, and peace that is boundless. So, set your heart on heaven, because it will be even more amazing than you could possibly ever think.
