As a Christian, you face fierce spiritual battles, so put on the full armor of God and fight with a sharp, steadfast mind.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. And Ephesians 6:11 says to “Put on the full armor of God.” And there’s a good reason. When you’re walking in Christ, you quickly learn it means a fierce battle against the enemy. Every day it is swords clashing, bullets flying and grenades exploding [spiritually speaking, that is]. Are you ready for the good fight today? Are you outfitted in God’s armor? Don’t be lulled into a spiritual stupor, thinking your enemy has not placed a target on your back. Friend, if you name Christ, the devil has you in his cross hairs. So do not let him decimate your faith, wound you with discouragement, cripple you with temptation, or take you out of the battle. In Christ, you are more than a conqueror. God is with you! So, gird up your spiritual loins, and take God at his word – winning the contest against our adversary does not require physical muscle, but a sharp, keen, spiritual mind.
