If you know someone with a disability who is new to your neighborhood or speaks a different language, reach out to them and show empathy and love as Deuteronomy says. If you need more resources, feel free to visit joniandfriends.org.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. And Rosario is a hardworking single mother who works in the fields of California to support her four children. One of her daughters is deaf and has learning difficulties. Well, when we heard her story, we knew we had to get her and her children to one of our Family Retreats. Although Rosario speaks very little English, at the retreat she was able to connect with other moms and her kids had a great time! What a joy to see Rosario dancing with abandon during our celebration night, and to see each one of her kids skipping and hopping with the other Christian kids. Deuteronomy 10 reminds us we are to show love and empathy to foreigners. Maybe you know someone with a disability who is new to your neighborhood or speaks a different language. If so, let us know at joniradio.org; because we’re here to share Christ’s love and empathy with everyone.
