Sing a song of praise wherever you are. You never know who’s listening!
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. A few years ago, my friends and I stopped at a local restaurant for an early dinner. And instead of saying grace, we quietly sang a hymn – there weren’t a lot of people in the restaurant at that hour and we didn’t think it would disturb anybody. Little did we realize that the family sitting by the window way across on the other side of the restaurant; they heard us. Well, before we knew it, they meandered over to our table, pulled up a few chairs, and started singing hymns. Well I tell you, we all had a great time! You know, the Bible says, “Speak to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs.” And you can do that no matter where you are – you can sing in your car, at church, at a prayer meeting, and you can even sing a praise song at your local restaurant – like me. So warm up those vocal chords, friend! Because we’ve got some singing to do in lots of places!
