Today, live in the truth that all your help comes from the Lord.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. When my friend Rachel was overseas in Africa, her husband, Patrick, went from needing a routine gallstone procedure, to a terrible case of pancreatitis, then to sepsis and then the beginning stages of organ failure – all in a matter of hours. Meanwhile, Rachel was half a world away with poor internet connection and every update only brought more bad news. Before the doctors found the problem, Patrick experienced sixteen days of immense pain. And during those days, Rachel hung onto Psalm 121, “My help comes from the Lord!” That truth gave her immense peace. She recognized that God was bigger, much bigger than her situation.
