If you’re struggling in life, remember, someday you’ll be free from these tears. Someday you will understand.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada, and when Anna Dee, suffered a stroke, she began a downward spiral of memory loss. She’d forget names and how to do simple, everyday tasks. What’s worse, she didn’t understand why she couldn’t remember. With her memory loss, God returned to her the memory of a precious hymn, “Someday, He’ll Make it Plain”—a hymn she often sang in the days of her youth. And she would repeat the words: “Someday He’ll make it plain to me, Someday when I His face shall see; Some day from tears I shall be free, For some day I shall understand.” Well, that day came, when the Lord called Anna Dee to heaven—where, as Isaiah 65 says, there is no sound of weeping, there is no memory of past troubles. Oh, friend, if you struggle with memory loss, or are just feeling the crunch of older age, remember, someday from tears you will be free, for someday you will understand and so will we all.
