Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. For years, my friend Lucy Wedemeyer was the sole caregiver of her husband Charlie who had ALS. Even though she was exhausted from the day-to-day routines of caring for Charlie, Lucy did not want to give that up. But Lucy also realized being a wife meant more than just being a nurse.
