The good news is, when you’re suffering under the hand of God, His eye is all the more bent on you.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. Recently a friend went through open-heart surgery, and he was amazed at the number of doctors and nurses attending him in the operating room. It was an army of experts led by the head surgeon. The result? My friend’s heart is all the better for it. And in the same way, God marshals an enormous amount of spiritual resources on your behalf when you suffer. Honestly, there is no time that the patient has more of the surgeon’s attention than when he is bleeding beneath the expert’s knife. Look, Psalm 10 says that you have 100% of God’s attention when you are suffering – especially when you’re suffering. So, if you are in the midst of a trial today, please, just know that you are the complete focus of God’s care, God’s love, and attention. You may be sure if you are suffering under the hand of God, that His eye is all the more bent on you. And that, friend, is great news.
