When you put on the armor of God, make sure to always include prayer.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. Ephesians 6 describes how we should put on the armor of God every day. Because hey, there’s spiritual warfare going on, right?! And although prayer is not mentioned as part of the Christian’s armor, it is key in defeating our enemy. Prayer is where the captain of the Lord's army imparts his battle plan to ensure victory. I mean take Gideon for example. He sought the Lord before entering into battle against the Midianites. But God’s strategy? To reduce Gideon’s army from 32,000 to 300. I mean Gideon would have never come up with a plan like that. But he gained the victory, which just goes to show it was a good thing he sought the Lord. In the same way, you are up against a powerful enemy and God's strategy for you to defeat that enemy may be different than what you think. So, when you put on the armor of God today, make sure to always include prayer.
