Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. It’s fun to ponder what historical figures would think if they knew about the impact that their inventions had on our society. Like, what would Alexander Graham Bell think about iPhones or Magellan about cruise ships? How about Galileo looking through the Hubble telescope, or Henry Ford driving a car that parks itself? Never would they have imagined how their humble contributions would ultimately shape the world. The same is true for us. We Christians have no idea of the impact our contributions are making in Christ’s kingdom. We can’t begin to imagine how God will use our humble efforts. But because of those efforts, Daniel 12 says that one day we will shine like the stars forever. What’s that all about?! Like Magellan and Galileo, I have no idea. But I sure am grateful. And you should be, as well.
