Stay near Calvary and you will see true change happen!
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. You know Jesus never enjoyed much elbow room during his public ministry. When he taught in the temple, there was hardly space to breathe. When he taught in a home, people stood wall-to-wall, spilling out into the front yard and hanging from the roof. Even Mark 5 says that “when Jesus had crossed over by boat to the side of the lake, a large crowd gathered around him.” Always there were people shoving to get close. But there was one place where Jesus had more than enough room. Where nobody was shoving to get close, no one wanted a ringside seat. There was plenty of room at the cross. So, what kind of a follower are you? Well, I hope you are the kind who draws near to Jesus even when it’s not easy. Even when blessings don’t abound. Be a believer who’s quick to cling to the cross in times of suffering. Stay near Calvary, friend, because that is where true change happens.
