Listen in as Joni urges believers to stay spiritually healthy by regularly seeking and offering forgiveness.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada with the question. Would you say that you are a sinner? Well, if you claim Christ as Savior, I’m sure you’d say yes without hesitating. Now here’s a follow-up question: have you sinned in the last day or so? Again, you would quickly nod yes in agreement, right? Now my final question: When is the last time you asked someone to forgive you? Was it a week ago? A month ago? Perhaps a year ago? If you have not made a fairly recent transaction of forgiveness, you may be a theoretical sinner; that is, a Christian whose self estimation is far different than God’s view of your spiritual condition. Matthew 5, says that if you have offended someone [or if someone has wronged you], “First go to be reconciled to your brother; then come offer your gift.” Friend, stay spiritually healthy by keeping shortlists with those you’ve wronged, or those who have wronged you!
