Your response to trials and temptation have a powerful impact on others that can either build up or diminish the body of Christ.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. As Christians, sometimes we forget how intimately we are connected to one another. Romans 12 says that we are all part of one body. What you do and say cannot help but affect others – you may not see it, but it’s a powerful spiritual reality. And it’s one of the best reasons for persevering through your trials or saying no to temptation. Because every time you hang in there through tough times with a smile, or every time you resist the temptation to disobey or complain, believe me, it has an impact on Christians around you – it’s an invisible, spiritual impact. Your response to trials and temptations either builds up the body of Christ, or it diminishes it. So, stay true to the course; stay on the path of righteousness; stay close to God through your trials – you may not know it, but your brothers and sisters in Christ are depending on you.
