In every hospital and neighborhood, there are people you don’t know who need help—especially from Christians like you. Practice Christ’s unusual kindness wherever you go.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. When Kathy’s little nephew, Caleb, was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor, church members helped Caleb’s family with meals, they drove his siblings to school, or cleaned the family’s home. But what struck Kathy most was the response they received from people who did notknow Caleb or the family. Old college friends of Kathy’s and co-workers, and people from town—all wanting to help in one way or another. Theirs was “unusual kindness,” just like the natives of Malta who showed Paul the same thing by providing food and shelter after their shipwreck. Kathy’s family experienced that: God’s love and provision through strangers. Friend, in every hospital and neighborhood, there are families like Kathy’s; strangers who need help—especially from Christians like you. Learn how to reach out to them at joniandfriends.org.
