Try leaving your grumbling spirit behind, and put on a smile because the glory of the Lord rises on you!
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada and mornings are not the easiest for me. That’s because I often do not get much sleep at night. I have to turn in the middle of the night to prevent pressure sores. And the arthritis in my hip does not help either. But this morning, I woke up to a bright ray of sunshine peaking through my bedroom curtain. It was so radiant, I didn’t even have time to think about my aching hip! Isaiah 60 says, “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.” Just like the start of your day is made fresh by sunlight streaming through your window, God refreshes us when we let His light stream into our lives. Friend, every morning God in all His glory wants to greet you as you open your eyes. So, leave your peevish attitude and grumbling spirit in bed, put on a smile, because amazingly, the glory of the Lord rises on you!
