Keep your Christian friendships close – never go into spiritual battle alone!
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada, and my husband Ken is a man who never thinks of going into spiritual battle alone. Ken is always meeting up with his Christian buddies, memorizing Scripture, holding Bible studies together. It’s because he knows there’s strength in numbers. Deuteronomy 32:30 says one man can chase a thousand, but two? Two men can put ten thousand to flight. So, can you see the importance of having a friend who will “cover your back” when the devil starts firing bullets? Ken’s band of brothers put the devil to flight. And you can, too. So please take time to make and keep your Christian friendships close. Pick up the phone, jot a note, meet over coffee or after church, and fight this fight together, as one, as a band of brothers or sisters in Christ. And when you do, the Lord Jesus, your Captain, is going to take you and your friends to victory.
