Episode Summary

Interdependence is a miracle waiting to happen, so strive to be interdependent!

Episode Transcription

What would we do without friends? Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada, and when I think of the friends who bathe me, get me dressed, sit me in a wheelchair, I think of the word “interdependence.” My friends depend on me just as much as I depend on them. And the same word comes to mind when I read the passage in Mark 2 – the one about the four friends who took their paralyzed buddy to see Jesus. There they went, carrying a paralyzed man on his cot, through the streets of Capernaum. And then, when confronted by a thick crowd of people blocking their entryway to the Healer of Healers, those four guys climbed up the house and ripped open the roof! All to bring healing and salvation to their friend with a disability. Oh, the things that can result when we strive for interdependence! So, let’s work for it today, and pray for it. Because you know what? It’s a miracle just waiting to happen.
