Trust God that the blessing of His power through your weakness will shine through.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. Remember Jacob, who wrestled with God? He grappled with the Lord until God blessed him. The blessing, of course, came with a dislocated hip for Jacob. But that limp turned to strength; from then on out, Jacob [in his weakness] had to lean hard on the Lord for His power. To wrestle with God means holding fast to Him in a very hard thing, claiming His promises, and saying, “Help me Jesus, and then five minutes later again, help me please again. I cannot do this by myself. A trickle of grace will not do, Jesus; I need you to flood me with hope and help.” You know, some Christians give up, crying uncle. And if I’m describing you, please don’t give up. God may be testing your faith to make it much stronger than you could possibly imagine. Today, 2 Corinthians 12 is your anchor – trust God that the blessing of His power through your weakness will come through.
