Look around and be open to be used by God today!
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. And our society is in crisis. All it takes is a peek at a popular magazine or a glance at the newspaper to realize it. So, how do we Christians respond? When Nehemiah heard of the desperate plight of his country, the Bible says he “sat down and wept.” Well, we all can relate to that, but how many of us do what Nehemiah does next? Because along with his weeping, Nehemiah fasted, then he got down on his knees and prayed; and then it says he took action. Friend, it’s one thing to pray for change in our country and then assume God will motivate others to make those changes, but it’s quite another thing to become actively engaged in God’s plan, volunteering yourself as his agent of change! So, look around and be open to be used by God. Like Nehemiah. After all, God is simply looking for cupbearers like you and Nehemiah and me to make a difference.
