All around the world there are children with disabilities who need to feel God’s love and feel treasured. You can make a difference today by joining Joni and Friends in gifting a wheelchair to someone in need.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. Not long ago, our Wheels for the World team returned from the Dominican Republic, where they met Fredro, grandfather of 7-year-old Hillary. Fredro explained how he and his wife had raised their disabled granddaughter because they believed that God had sent her to them. Hillary was, as Isaiah 45 puts it, their “treasure” given to them so that they could grow closer to God. It’s why they nicknamed Hillary “Tesorito,” meaning “little treasure.” And when our seating specialist seated Hillary in her new wheelchair, you should have seen the smile on her grandfather’s face! Now, Fredro had something more to treasure – God’s provision through the gift of a wheelchair. Friend, all around the world there are children with disabilities who need to know God’s love and feel treasured. So, make a difference in their lives by visiting us at joniandfriends.org.
