Episode Transcription

Hi, this is Joni Eareckson Tada with a heartwarming story. Little Myles felt like the luckiest 8-year-old in the planet: because he had just found a $20 bill at a restaurant parking lot. Now, most kids would’ve used the money to buy a video game, but not Myles. Upon entering the restaurant with his family, he saw a soldier dressed in uniform. And so, this little boy rolled up the bill within a note to this unknown soldier saying, “My dad was a soldier—but he is in heaven now. We like to pay it forward in my family. Today is your lucky day! Thank you for your service.” Wow! Matthew 10 says, “Freely you have received; freely give.” Myles freely showed gratitude for soldiers—for men like his daddy who gave their freedom so that we could keep ours. Today, find a way that you can bless our country’s servicemen and women in the name of Jesus. Myles did it, and you can, too.
